AKT II have published a book, called “Design Engineering Refocused“, that explores the evolving role of engineering and computation within interdisciplinary design.
It covers a range of our projects – both large developments and smaller art collaborations – and happily it includes a few of the projects I’ve worked on:
· Al Fayah Park – with Heatherwick Studio.
· Hybrid Shells project – with Zaha Hadid Architect.
· Serpentine Pavilion 2016 – with BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group).
The book also delves into the software we are currently developing in-house: our Bioclimatic Toolkit, the Reakt interoperability suite, engineering visualisation tools, and so on.
It’s a great overview of our work!
