Notting Hill Gate, by Heatherwick Studio

Initially Heatherwick were asked to produce a façade feasibility study for this 13 storey tower, located in West London. Our response was to design an innovative facade made of overlapping stone. The client then expanded the brief and asked us to completely redevelop the building into a 17 storey 10,000m2 building.

I was involved in all aspects of this process – including façade design, core layouts, room arrangements, entrance & exit designs and creation of a new public space at ground level. I produced work ranging from conceptual sketches and CAD plans, sections and elevations, through to computer visuals and physical models.

This project was put on hold just prior to planning due to economic reasons.
