Software developer and computational designer, living in London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently an Associate Director at London-based engineering firm AKT II<\/a>, and leader of their in-house software development team. This Dev Team supports all of AKT\u2019s specialist groups: Structural Engineering, the Bioclimate Team, the Applied Research Team (P.art<\/em>), and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Previously worked for Heatherwick Studio<\/a>, RoboFold<\/a>, Atmos<\/a>, and other companies with a focus on complex geometry and computationally-derived design, optimisation & fabrication processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Has run workshops and given lectures at academic institutions such as The University of Westminster, The Royal College of Art and The Bartlett.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Architecture, both from the University of Bath. Master\u2019s thesis analysed the architectural implications of digital modelling and computer-aided manufacturing technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nThis paper explores the potential uses of Quality Diversity algorithms for the optimisation of structural engineering FEA models. It emerged from research undertaken as part of the ‘PrismArch’<\/i> EU Horizon2020 research project.
